June 7 to June 10, 2002.
Saturday 8th June is the first ’real’ day of the weekend, although the carnival opens on Friday.
The traffic police ensure most people keep away from the event.
The Grand Parade is the next main event, followed by the Mobile Esky competition.
The revellers tend to get somewhat drunk.
Fortunately the police are here to make sure no one has too much of a good time.
A crocodile trap was on display during the weekend.
For the first time, a few Live Bands performed in the park on Saturday Night.
Sunday starts off with the 10 AM Re-enactment followed by the midday Soapbox Derby and Pie Eating Competition.
Sunday evening has the finals for both the Truck Pull and the Tug-O-War and also a surprise (Wet T-Shirt Competition - Warning, contains boobies.) which wasn’t announced in the official flyer. They also managed to squeeze a Raft Race in to the evening, and finished off with some Fireworks.
